Radio Equipment

Non-European manufacturers are strongly encouraged to appoint a professional European Authorised Representative. This allows manufacturers to stay informed about necessary documentation, applicable standards, or ongoing changes in the applicable requirements relating to the product.

Obelis acts as your Authorised Representative in the European Union, Switzerland, and as Responsible Person in the United Kingdom.

1.  Your Authorised Representative

Your Authorised Representative for Radio Equipment

At the discretion of the manufacturer, an Authorised Representative may be appointed by written mandate. As your representative, Obelis undertakes activities such as:

Keeping the Declaration of Conformity and the technical documentation available to the Competent Authorities at all times and for 10 years after the equipment is placed on the market
Accommodating any reasoned requests from the Competent Authorities relating the documentation or conformity of the manufacturer's product
Cooperating with the Competent Authorities to eliminate risks emanating from the product for which they are responsible under the mandate

The Authorised Representative should be clearly identified on the packaging to ensure efficient communication from end-users and EU economic operators in regards to the product(s) compliance. Finally, the Authorised Representative may not draw up technical documentation as referred to in Article 6(2).
