European Union – Omnibus Act VIII amends the Cosmetic Regulations
✅1 May 2026: Products containing 3-(4′-methylbenzylidene)-camphor [INCI: 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor] (CAS No 36861-47-9/38102-62-4) can no longer be made available on the market.
✅1 May 2026: With no distinction between placing products on the market and making them available, Omnibus Act VIII will apply. This means that, from the application date, non-compliant cosmetics can no longer be sold in the EU market and must be recalled beforehand.
