This year, Obelis has been invited by Brussels Export to join HRH Prince Philip in attending the Royal Economic Mission to Brazil.

The Mission to Brazil is designed to stimulate the Brazilian and Belgian economies by increasing the exporting and importing of goods between the two countries. With Brazil hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the 2016 Summer Olympics, their economy has grown and will continue to grow significantly over the next several years.

The role that European Authorized Representatives (Obelis) play in the Economic Mission to Brazil is crucial. According to the most current EU Regulation, all Non-EU manufacturers importing products into the EU must have a European Authorized Representative appointed AT ALL TIMES to deal with affairs between the manufacturer and the respective competent authorities. Therefore, all Brazilian manufacturers will need to appoint Obelis or another Authorized Representative to take on this role.

As one of the largest Authorized Representatives in Europe, Obelis is qualified on ALL Prodcut Safety Directives while specializing in Medical Devcies (MDD 93/42/EEC & 2007/47/EC) and Cosmetics (1223/2009/EC).

The Economic Mission to Brazil will be a good opportunity for Obelis to network itself into the Brazilian exports market.
